My name is Richard Batten, and I have been selling cars since 1989.

My early background was with "Saab", and in those days the cars were built with no expense spared. Quality through and through.

Throughout my career in the motor trade, I have applied the old Saab rules - check it out before you put it out! And that basic method has served me well, building a good customer base who know exactly what they are going to get from me!

First Car Bristol was formed when "My First Car Bristol" was moved out of its little home in Kingswood, Bristol (more new apartments!).

I specialise in small cars aimed at the first time buyer or at families that want a little reliable run-about.

They will usually be in the low insurance groups (under group 7) , and will normally qualify for lower rate road tax.

My cars are sourced mainly through the trade as part exchanges, and I do buy direct from small car owners themselves.

All my cars will come with long or new mot's, are hpi checked, and have a 10 point check carried out by Lewis or myself, before they are put on sale. We include a minimum of 3 month's Autogroup warranty on cars over £1495, which can be extended at point of sale. Vehicles sold on behalf of trade customers do not include a First Car warranty. Please check at time of sale.

My website is quite basic, I admit, but I tend to invest my time and efforts in the cars themselves, and I am a little old fashioned, where I would rather talk to you face to face, then spend hours trying to email you or facebook you the car details!

My prices are favourable, as I do not have a palatial showroom or large overheads, so I can offer those savings to you the customer.....

Lewis brings 10 years experience from the Motor Trade and great ideas exploring Social Media and the web.
